Day 9, February 8

Today kinda sucked. I have the flu. My arms hurt ALL day, starting last night. I didn't do any homework, and the aching arms occupied my day. One side of my garage is broken...it's off its hinges, and the only reason it hasn't completely fallen is because off all the junk under it that's supporting it. My grandpa wanted me to help him hold it up, but I passed because my arm's were hurting. Plus, I didn't want the garage door to fall on top of me. While I was outside, I noticed this hawk, so I ran inside to grab my camera. (Hawks have been sitting around nearby because of the smelly fish smell xD) But yea, I sat outside with my laptop and camera for about a half hour waiting for the hawk to fly and getting my mind off of my arms. Eventually, it flew around a few times (it was really pretty) and I got some good shots, but not exactly how I wanted them to be. I wish I had a bigger lens! Anyways, being the lazy person I am, I used Picasa to zoom in/crop them...and they actually didn't turn out that bad. =]

--edit: I forgot to mention the burnt popcorn earlier. It was quite funny. My aunt wasn't listening to the popcorn popping and it burnt really bad, and my lil brother was like "See! You should've listened to me! It wasn't my fault! You should've pressed the popcorn button!" He's such a cutie. xP
Oh, and too emphasize the severity of the burnt popcorn. There was smoke coming out of it...so I put it in the sink with some cool water...and then when the smoke subsided, my aunt opened the bag and a BIG poof of smoke came out and everything inside was all black...and it was buttery popcorn..so with all of the water...a bunch of oil and black icky stuff was coming out of the bag. (run on sentence much?)

----edit: wow the night keeps on getting more interesting. My mom came in asking if I was going to go to school tomorrow and my reply was "No! Are you crazy? I haven't done any work and I have the flu!" and she replies "That's the point! You go to school and spread your germs, that way you're not sick anymore!" lmao. Nice one mommy.
